Now, I know we don’t all like ‘change’ but, we think you’ll be happy with this one. During the company’s F8 conference CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces that Facebook is getting a new design and went on to explain the reasoning behind it. This is only the 5th time in history that Facebook have done this, do you think it will be for the better or worse, we think, so far that the redesign looks pretty good, what do you think?
Facebook users have changed the way in which they use the platform in recent years so Facebook is implementing changes. As more people are posting and interacting in groups, the redesign will allow users to access groups from a sidebar, which will keep groups front-and-centre when using the Facebook website. Further, there will be group buttons at the top of the screen, where you will be able to see and manage groups and memberships of groups.
That’s not all, Facebook Events are getting some attention too. To enable users to get a better look and search for events in their area, Facebook will be adding a new tab to the mobile app.
The whole Facebook platform will be getting a redesign to enhance user experience. The desktop version is also getting a facelift and will be taking points from the mobile app to allow quick-access to notifications, stories and more. Facebook are also hopefully that by doing this redesign and reprogramming, this may speed up user experience too.
So, what do you think to the redesign and are you ready for it?
